Josh Lewin signs extension with RangersCourtesy
ESPN Dallas
(December 11, 2009) The Rangers agreed to terms with play-by-play television voice Josh Lewin on a one-year extension for 2010 and a mutual option 2011.
John Blake, Rangers executive VP of communications, said the biggest hurdle was making sure Lewin wasn't going to miss as many games late in the season. "We felt like we needed to have our No. 1 television guy here more at the end of the year," Blake said. "We've accomplished that in this. There's only three games he can miss the last month of the season." Blake said he wasn't sure how that impacts Lewin's play-by-play job with the NFL's San Diego Chargers. _______________________
