Ticket, SportsDay to share content
(December 8, 2009) SportsDay and The Ticket today begin a content-sharing and cross-promotion relationship designed to strengthen two of the most influential sports media brands in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The announcement was made Monday by Bob Yates, The Dallas Morning News' deputy managing editor for sports, and Dan Bennett, vice president and market manager for Cumulus Media Dallas, parent company of Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket.

SportsDay columnists and writers will appear exclusively on The Ticket as well as have their work linked at on the sports station's Web site, theticket.com. Ticket personalities will contribute to the SportsDay print product and Web site at dallasnews.com. SportsDay will also link to Ticket podcasts.

“It just makes sense for us to work more closely with The Ticket,” Yates said. “It has established itself over the years as the strongest sports radio station in this market. SportsDay has more reporters covering the local high school, college and pro teams on a daily basis than anyone. By working together more closely, we know we both can have an even greater impact.”

No boundaries have been set on the relationship that SportsDay and The Ticket anticipate will continue to evolve.

“The Ticket is honored to be partners with a great sports brand produced by The Dallas Morning News,” Bennett said. “The Ticket and The News combining resources will bring sports fans even greater content in Dallas-Fort Worth.”
