Anne Hutchinson not being renewed at KSTPCourtesy

(October 30, 2009) KSTP-TV is parting ways with weekend sports anchor Anne Hutchinson. Channel 5 news director Lindsay Radford says the decision to not renew Hutchinson's contract happened last week. Radford wouldn't elaborate on the move because it was a "personnel decision." In January, the station reduced Hutchinson's hours from full- to part-time.
While a departure date has yet to be decided, Radford said she's searching for Hutchinson's replacement and has been flooded with applicants. A St. Louis Park native, Hutchinson joined Channel 5 in 2004. Before that, she was a sports reporter at WCCO-TV. In 2002, while working for WCCO, Hutchinson was suspended for unprofessional behavior in the Minnesota Twins locker room when they clinched the Central Division title that year in Cleveland. _______________________
