Amarillo Gorillas hockey signs radio dealPress Release
The Amarillo Gorillas and 1440 AM ESPN Radio (KPUR) will join forces in 2009-2010 to carry most Gorillas road game broadcasts.
KPUR will broadcast 29 regular season away games as well as all Brian Pellerin Coach’s Shows. KPUR will not carry the first three Friday road games, so the Gorillas are encouraging fans to watch the new CHL-TV on opening night October 16th (free trail night), October 30th at Laredo, and November 13th at Texas. Cody Eastwood will begin his first season as the Gorillas’ Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting and will call all 64 regular season Gorillas games on KPUR and CHL-TV. A native of Houston, Texas, Eastwood has done broadcasting work for the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League, the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, and the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League. An Eagle Scout, Cody has also worked for ESPN Radio in Dallas and Houston, ABC Radio Networks, Fox Sports Southwest, and the Sun Belt Conference. Cody earned his Associate of Arts degree in Spanish from San Jacinto College and his Bachelor’s degree in Radio/Television/Film from the University of North Texas. _______________________
