(October 5, 2009) If you are wondering why there is gospel music on your sports talk station, or if you are trying to figure out why those men are talking about NFL games on your gospel station, then you must have forgotten that today is the day two Max Media stations swap places on the local radio dial.

ESPN Radio in Virginia Beach has moved from 1310 on the AM dial and is now located at 94.1 on the FM dial.

Star 94, which has provided gospel tunes at 94.1 FM, is now located at 1310 on the AM dial.

Max Media made the switch in order to put ESPN Radio on its 40,000-watt FM signal, which can be heard all the way to Richmond during the evening.

The two stations' programming will remain largely unchanged, with national and local sports talk and game coverage on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM, and gospel music with occasional local sports on Star 1310 AM.
