(October 2, 2009) The United Football League, a new four-team venture, kicks off its inaugural season, on Thursday.Versus will carry eight games on either Wednesday or Thursday evenings. The championship game is scheduled for Nov. 27. Dave Sims will call the action on Versus with Doug Flutie the color guy. Kordell Stewart and Anita Marks will roam the sidelines. Versus officials said there would be no XFL-type gimmicks with cameras in the huddle. But players and coaches can be interviewed during games and there will be microphones on the sidelines and in the coaches' box in the press box. Cameras will also be allowed in the locker room before the game and at halftime. _______________________
