Atlantic League playoffs on iBN

(September 22, 2009) Internet sports television broadcaster iBN Sports announced last week that it will be covering the Liberty Division Championship Series in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball starting this Thursday, September 24th at 7:05 PM. As the baseball season winds down, the excitement escalates and baseball fans across the world will be able to tune in live at www.ibnsports.com to watch these two professional teams try to extend their seasons into October.

The Long Island Ducks, now celebrating ten years in the Atlantic League, clinched the final spot in the 2009 Playoffs last Wednesday evening. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, co-owned by Baltimore Orioles legend Brooks Robinson and only in their second year of existence, will be heading for their first playoff appearance. Somerset and Newark are the other two teams competing for a spot in the Atlantic League Championship. Following is the portion of the 2009 Atlantic League Playoff Schedule that will be aired live on iBN Sports at www.ibnsports.com:

Long Island at Southern Maryland Thursday, September 24 @ 7:05 p.m.

Long Island at Southern Maryland Friday, September 25 @ 7:05 p.m.

Southern Maryland at Long Island Saturday, September 26 @ 7:05 pm

Southern Maryland at Long Island (if nec.) Sunday, September 27 @ 3:05 pm

Southern Maryland at Long Island (if nec.) Tuesday, September 29 @ 6:35 pm
