Sportscaster Catalon to call Giants gameCourtesy
Albany Times Union
(August 19, 2009) WNYT (Ch. 13) weekend anchor Andrew Catalon, who recently got word that he will be part of NBC’s broadcast team for next February’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver, is getting another prominent gig.
With Bob Papa unavailable because of an HBO boxing conflict, Catalon has been assigned to do play-by-play of the New York Giants’ exhibition game Saturday night at Chicago. The game will be produced by WNBC in New York and aired locally on WNYT. Catalon will work alongside regular analyst Carl Banks, a former Giants linebacker. Former Giants tight end Howard Cross will serve as sideline reporter. _______________________
