Clippers basketball moving to KFWBCourtesy
Los Angeles Times
(August 14, 2009) Clippers fans will be happy to know that their NBA team will be on the radio next season.
The team just announced that its games will be heard on KFWB-AM (980). The Clippers had been on KSPN-AM (710), but the ESPN-owned station acquired the Laker broadcast rights starting next season. Play-by-play duties will still be handled by broadcaster Brian Sieman, who enters his third season as the radio voice of the Clippers. Earlier this week KFWB announced it was making the nationally-syndicated show anchored by advice expert Laura Schlessinger the jewel of its roster. So, for perpetually perplexed Clippers fans, it could be one-stop shopping -- listen to Clippers games, then call in the next day and talk to Dr. Laura. She may want to study up on the NBA and maybe call should-be Hall of Fame and always loyal Clippers television announcer Ralph Lawler for a brief history lesson on the great moments in Clippers history. _______________________
