Florio joins Sports USA Radio Network
Press Release
(August 5, 2009) ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio will join Sports USA Radio Network's NFL coverage as a weekly contributor beginning September 13th. Florio's PFT website provides a constantly updated look at all NFL news and issues of the day, in a style aimed at both informing and entertaining. The site entered into a wide-ranging partnership with NBC Sports on July 1st, which has already sparked a significant increase in the traffic and profile of the site.

"I spent two hours talking with Larry Kahn during Super Bowl week in Tampa," Florio said. "And yet even after that he still was interested in getting me involved in Sports USA Radio's weekly coverage of the NFL. I guess Fred Edelstein wanted too much money."

Florio created ProFootballTalk.com in November of 2001. He is the site's primary editor and contributor. Florio appears on radio shows in NFL cities throughout the country, with regular national spots on Sporting News Radio and FOX Sports Radio. He also has appeared on NFL Network and FOX News. Based on eight years and counting of obsessively following all NFL developments on a daily basis, Florio is regarded as one of the most informed, influential, and irreverent voices regarding the sport.

"Having Mike join the Sports USA family is exciting," said Sports USA Radio President Larry Kahn. "ProFootballTalk.com is a must read for not only NFL fans, but for players, coaches, and media as well. The site is extremely informative. Mike's knowledge and sense of humor regarding all things NFL will fit right in with what we do."

The nation's leading independent play-by-play radio network, Sports USA Radio Network syndicates a pair of the NFL's biggest match-ups each Sunday throughout the regular season, the nation's top regular season college football games and several postseason bowl games, including the Capital One Bowl on January 1st.
