Westwood One sets football broadcast teamsPress Release
(July 31, 2009) Westwood One has announced its lineup of college football doubleheaders and all-star broadcasters for the 2009-2010 season.
Chuck Cooperstein will call play-by-play and be joined in the booth by Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George, who makes his Westwood One debut as color analyst. John Tautges will handle play-by-play for game two of the doubleheader and will be joined by former UCLA Head Coach and College Football Hall of Famer Terry Donahue, who also makes his Westwood One debut. Jason Horowitz rounds out the lineup as pregame, halftime and postgame host. “From the Heisman to the Hall of Fame, this broadcast team is top-notch college gridiron pedigree,” said Gary Schonfeld, President of Westwood One Network. “No other NCAA broadcast even comes close to matching the breadth of talent in our booth or our unparalleled full schedule of the most passionate rivalries in all of sports.”
Broadcast pairings for the NCAA on Westwood One: Westwood One kicks off its College Football coverage on Saturday, September 5, 2009 with a doubleheader, as Oklahoma State hosts Georgia and Alabama takes on Virginia Tech in Atlanta. All stations airing Westwood One’s NCAA Football coverage can be found using the Station Finder located at www.westwoodone.com. New stations are being added on a daily basis. NCAA Football on Westwood One will feature a full 26 game regular season schedule, plus six post season contests including the Army-Navy Game, SEC Championship Game, the Gator Bowl and the Cotton Bowl. Westwood One’s regular season schedule includes two games with the defending National Champion Florida Gators, as they take on rivals Tennessee and Florida State; the traditional annual battles between Ohio State and Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas; as well as other conference rivalry games such as LSU vs. Alabama, and Oregon State vs. USC.
