Sacramento sports station revamps lineupCourtesy
Sacramento Bee
(July 21, 2009) When we last left Jim Kozimor, he was unceremoniously dumped by the Kings as their pregame and postgame television host. That was after he all but eliminated his nightly radio duties with KHTK to work for NBC's Olympics channel.
For all those missing Kozimor, he's back. Kozimor returns to KHTK today with a daily noon-3 p.m. show, replacing the Mike O'Meara Show, which no longer will be syndicated. "I am crazy excited," said Kozimor, who said his show will not take sports too seriously. "The last two months have been a roller coaster. … It's coming home again." Kozimor's show debuts the same day former Bee columnist Mark Kreidler joins The Rise Guys (5:30 -9 a.m.). Also, expect some format changes to Mike Lamb and Grant Napear's show (3-7 p.m.). Kreidler will carry a deep regional sports knowledge with regular features like "Questions with Kreidler." All of these changes are welcome to a sports station that relied too much on national programming and was too serious, especially during Napear's airtime. _______________________
