(July 13, 2009) Sports 620 KTAR's Gambo & Ash were named as one of the Top 30 Power Brokers in the Phoenix sports market by Sports Arizona.

The duo of John Gambadoro and Mark Asher have been on the airwaves in the Phoenix market for more than 12 years. They are the longest current sports talk radio show in Phoenix.

With the success of the Arizona Cardinals the President of the team Michael Bidwill is ranked at the top. Rounding out the top five is John Junker, President/CEO of Fiesta Bowl and Insight Bowl, Derrick Hall the President/CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Bankruptcy Judge Redfield T. Baum and Bryan Sperber, the President of Phoenix International Raceway.

Other notables on the list are Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt at No. 6, Suns and Mercury owner Robert Sarver at No. 7, Suns point guard Steve Nash at No. 16, and Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner at No. 25.

The online magazine noted Gambo & Ash for their longevity, ratings, credibility, and knowledge of breaking news in the market.

"The deans of Phoenix sports talk radio, John Gambadoro and Mark Asher have been on Valley airwaves for more than 12 years. Their influence on local sports fans is undeniable, as they currently co-host the highest rated show on the highest rated station in town. Their influence is also measured by the fact that local executives and players place credibility upon their opinions. In addition, Gambo breaks as many stories as any media professional in the Valley and their combined Rolodex is second to none."
