TEXAS TECH SPORTS LAND NEW FLAGSHIP

(May 5, 2009) Texas Tech University announced today that Learfield Sports' Red Raider Sports Properties and Ramar Communications have reached a new agreement for radio broadcasting rights in Lubbock. Starting this fall with football, KSTQ 104.3 FM, KXTQ 93.7 FM, KLZK 97.3 FM and KJTV 950 AM will be the new radio home for the Red Raider Sports Network. 104.3 FM will serve as the flagship station and become Lubbock's first all sports FM station.

"This is exciting news for Red Raider fans and radio listeners in the Lubbock market," said Texas Tech University Athletic Director Gerald Myers. "While we're delighted to begin a new relationship with Ramar Communications, we simply cannot ignore the exceptional job that Gap Broadcasting and their family of stations have done for Texas Tech Athletics for a very long time. We certainly appreciate their years of partnership."

104.3 FM, Magic 93.7 and FoxTalk 950 will air the spring game, all regular-season and post-season football broadcasts; all exhibition, regular-season and post-season men's basketball. Stars 97.3 and FoxTalk 950 will air all regular-season and post-season women's basketball broadcasts. 104.3 FM will air all regular-season and post-season baseball broadcasts. 104.3 FM will air all coaches' shows for all four sports. In addition, the Mike Leach Show will be heard on both FM 104.3 and FoxTalk 950 AM.

Ramar Communications is a privately owned Lubbock based broadcaster operating in three states. Ramar operates four Radio stations and 5 television stations Lubbock, Texas and three television stations in New Mexico and Colorado.

Red Raider Sports Properties is a property of Learfield Sports, which now titles the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup in partnership with NACDA and the USA Today. In addition to Texas Tech, the company manages multimedia rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations, including other Big 12 member schools Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. Learfield Sports also manages the marketing partnerships for the Black Coaches & Administrators (BCA) and provides exclusive sports programming to more than 1,000 radio stations throughout the country.
