NATE BROWN NEW SPORTS DIRECTOR AT KQBL
Press Release
(May 1, 2009) BMG Billings, LLC announced today the hiring of Nate Brown as the new Director of Sports Operations for KQBL 105.1 “Billings Sports Station”. A native of Columbus, Brown has covered professional, college, and high school sports throughout the country.

Brown comes back to the Billings area after working for NBC in Washington D.C. Most recently, Brown was the Sports Director at KZZI-FM in Rapid City, SD. His broadcast experience includes reporting, play-by-play, and sports talk.

“We are very excited to welcome Nate to our team and to increase the Sports coverage, particularly the local sports coverage, in Billings. This is the first of many steps BMG Billings, LLC will be taking to enhance and improve the coverage and services for local radio listeners and sports fans,” said BMG Chairman and CEO, Pete Benedetti.

“Billings has great sports and great sports fans,” said Brown. “I can’t wait to begin building relationships in the Billings community and giving local sports the radio coverage they deserve. I’m looking forward to covering the teams that I grew up watching and competing against.”

The Associated Press recently named Brown the “South Dakota Play-by-Play Announcer of the Year.” His resume includes interviews with Champ Bailey, NBA great Doug Collins, and President Barack Obama.

KQBL 105.1 “Billings Sports Station” currently airs ESPN Radio. KQBL also features local updates and play-by-play. Commenting on the station, Brown said, “Loyal listeners to KQBL we’ll be excited about some of the big things that are planned in the very near future.”
