The club and the regional sports cable company made the announcement Thursday.

News of the agreement was somewhat surprising because the previous deal between Brewers and FS Wisconsin, struck in 2003, was through 2012.

However, the pattern among clubs and their local television partners has been to craft extensions well before the sunset of the previous deals.

Neither the Brewers nor FS Wisconsin disclosed the financial terms or the length of the new extension.

This season, 136 games are scheduled to air on FS Wisconsin. Another 15 are to air on WMLW-TV (Channel 41), an over-the-air channel, for a total of 151 games. FS Wisconsin produces all Brewers telecasts.

FS Wisconsin will continue to produce a minimum of 150 Brewers games per season. A total of 95 Brewers games this season are in high definition, the most FS Wisconsin has ever offered. FS Wisconsin and the Brewers have been partners for 13 seasons.

"There are certainly financial benefits to us," said Tyler Barnes, vice president of communications with the Brewers. "But we also strongly believe that Fox Sports Wisconsin does phenomenal work in terms of the production of our games. We'd certainly put it up against any of the other regionals that are out there. We cannot say enough about them as a production partner but also as a promotional partner for us."
