610 SPORTS RADIO SETS NEW LINEUP
Press Release
(April 13, 2009) 610 Sports Radio, the OFFICIAL station of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas Jayhawks, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, announced a new weekday programming lineup this morning that will take effect immediately. The new lineup is as follows:
The 610 Morning Rush (Weekdays 6a-9a) will be hosted by Roger Twibell and Josh Klingler. Twibell, an Emmy-Award winning Sportscaster, and Kansas Alum, has hosted the morning show on 610 Sports Radio since 2008. Klingler, who has been a pre and post game show host for Kansas University Football and Basketball broadcasts, will continue to anchor sports updates and serve in an expanded sidekick role. What’s Wright (Weekdays 9a-11a), will be hosted by Nick Wright. Wright takes his popular evening show (6p-9p) to mid-mornings. The 24-year old Kansas City Native has held a variety of roles on the station since coming aboard in 2007. Chris and Cowboy (Weekdays 2p-6p), will be the station’s new afternoon drive show. The program is hosted by Chris Hamblin and “Cowboy” Cory Anderson. The duo has been together on 610 Sports Radio since 2005, when they hosted the evening show. After 2 years of doing nights, they moved to mid-mornings (9a-11a), where they’ve been the last year. “The development of this new lineup came after a great deal of evaluation,” admits KCSP Program Director Ryan Maguire. “We listened to our audience and to our sponsors and are very pleased at the result. We’re excited to roll out this brand new lineup of local hosts that promises to be opinioned, informative, interactive…and above all, entertaining.” 610 Sports Radio is Kansas City’s Play-by-Play leader as the Flagship Station of the Kansas City Royals, Home of the Kansas Jayhawks, and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. |
