DORADOS SET FOOTBALL BROADCAST PLANS
Press Release
(March 26, 2009) The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 (af2), in association with Border Media Radio, announced details outlining a broadcasting partnership for the 2009 Dorados football season. The team also announced online broadcast plans in association with NiftyTV.
Border Media will broadcast all 16 regular season games, in addition to any playoff games, live in their entirety. KBUC Real Country 102.1 FM will serve as the radio flagship for Dorados football. Broadcasts will include a 15-minute pre-game show as well as a post-game wrap up. Fans can also follow the Dorados online via NiftyTV’s af2TV for the second consecutive season. af2TV is a free online player that is both adware and spyware free. Fans can choose which announcer to listen to while following the action via their computer. Upgraded technology allows fans to go back and watch previous games in an on-demand format. The new player also features improved picture quality from last season, allowing fans to connect computers to their TV with minimal picture quality loss. Play-by-play broadcaster Rich Bocchini returns for his fourth season behind the microphone describing Dorados action. Dennis Scott returns to the Dorados radio booth as color analyst and will provide play-by-play when Bocchini has other commitments. STAA client Jonah Goldberg will also contribute to home radio broadcasts with sideline reports. “KBUC Real Country 102.1 FM is extremely excited to carry the Rio Grande Valley Dorados games for the 2009 season,” Bruce Collins, Program Director for Border Media Radio said. “The Dorados are one of the premiere entertainment organizations in the Valley and we truly are appreciative to work with such a great organization that has always been so supportive of community needs in the Valley.” The Dorados return to Dodge Arena for their sixth season of af2 action. The team’s home opener is on Saturday, April 18, vs. Bossier-Shreveport. The regular season begins on the road this Saturday, March 28, at Corpus Christi. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. |
