SPORTS HOST GOLDSTEIN EXITS ESPN 890 BOSTON
(March 18, 2009) ESPN 890 AM just announced some lineup up changes.

Lew Goldstein of the afternoon “Lew & Mike” show co-hosted for the last time on Friday. He left to take a bigger job at his longtime employer, Kelley Automotive Group.

SportsCenter anchor Kevin Winter will take over for Goldstein and the show will feature guest co-hosts. This week it’s Bob Lobel.

Goldstein and Mike Vallee had been doing their show together for nearly three years and came to 890 eight months ago.

“I’m very disappointed,” Vallee said of losing Goldstein. “I understand and I’m excited for the next challenge that awaits.

Also, Colin Cowherd’s “The Herd” will be extended another hour, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.

The Boston Sports Show will air from 4 to 6 p.m. starting Apirl 6. and the station’s pre-game baseball show, hosted by Winter, will run from 6 to 7 p.m.
