(March 12, 2009) Seattle's newest sports radio station announced its lineup Wednesday.
ESPN Seattle (710 AM) will launch April 1 with the nationally syndicated "Mike and Mike in the Morning" from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. The station then will air "The Heard with Colin Cowherd" until 11 a.m. and debut its local flavor with the Brock Huard and Mike Salk show until 3 p.m. Longtime NBA announcer Kevin Calabro will return to his talk-show roots from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Then the station will close its lineup with an hourlong Mariners pregame show or ESPN GameNight. And from 7 p.m. to midnight will either be Mariners play-by-play or other featured games. "Sports fans will be thrilled with the programming surrounding the play-by-play of the Mariners, the Seahawks and our in-depth local coverage of the Seattle sports scene," said Dave Pridemore, vice president and general manager of Bonneville Seattle. The parent company bumped its news/talk format to 97.3 FM and will broadcast sports only on the AM station for the first time since the dial was established in 1927. |
