VISPOLI JOINS DRAGONS BASEBALL AS NO.2 SPORTSCASTER

(February 5, 2009) The Dayton Dragons have hired Alex Vispoli as their No. 2 radio broadcaster.
Vispoli comes to the Dragons from the Lynchburg Hillcats where he served as Assistant Director of Broadcasting. In Dayton, he'll work alongside the lead voice of the Dragons, Tom Nichols. Vispoli spent one season with the Hillcats and two seasons in the Carolina League. The Andover, Massachusetts-native spent the 2007 season as assistant play-by-play announcer for the Salem Avalanche. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, and has served as play-by-play broadcaster, sideline reporter, and studio host for Orange football, as well as for the Syracuse men’s and women’s basketball teams.
