RANGERS BASEBALL MOVING WEEKDAY GAMES TO FM
(February 3, 2009) The Texas Rangers and radio station 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) confirmed Tuesday that the two organizations have formed a partnership in which Ranger baseball games will be aired on the FM station during weekday games.

The Texas Rangers will continue to air weekend games on NewsRadio 1080 (KRLD-AM).

KRLD has carried the Rangers since 1995.

When the new season starts, Ranger fans also will benefit from a spring training radio broadcast schedule that includes 18 new games —15 of which will be aired on 105.3 The Fan.

“The Rangers are very pleased to make this announcement, and we welcome 105.3 The Fan as our new weekday flagship station,” said team President Nolan Ryan. “The sound, quality, and strength of The Fan’s FM signal will provide a new listening experience for our fans.”

Eric Nadel will handle play-by-play coverage for both radio stations. This is Nadel’s 31st season with the Rangers and his 15th year as the main voice of the baseball team’s coverage.
