SPORTS TALK KGOW TAKES HOLIDAY SILVER
(January 30, 2009) KGOW (1560 AM) Houston moved into second place behind KILT (610 AM) among sports talkers in the weeklong Arbitron ratings for men 25-54 during the four-week holiday period.

KILT had a 1.8 average quarter-hour share and 132,300 weekly cumulative listeners to KGOW’s 1.2 with a 30,100 cume (three notches from the bottom for all rated Houston radio stations, which means it doesn’t have many listeners but those it has apparently do little else but listen to radio). KFNC (97.5 FM) was at 0.9 with 60,300 cume and KBME (790 AM) at 0.8 with 86,700 cume.

KGOW leads in morning drive while KILT lead in the other three dayparts. In afternoon drive, though, KGOW took over second, bumping KBME to third.
