SEREY NAMED SILVERHAWKS PLAY-BY-PLAY BROADCASTER

(January 29, 2009) The South Bend Silverhawks have hired Owen Serey as their new play-by-play broadcaster. Serey spent the last three seasons as a broadcaster/media relations assistant with the Dayton Dragons. He spent a fourth season with the Dragons as an intern. Serey earned a B.A. in Electronic Media from the University of Dayton in 2004. After gaining experience on both Flyer TV and Flyer Radio while at UD, Serey has spent time as a sports talk host and play-by-play announcer for ESPN Radio in Martinsville, Virginia, and Sporting News Radio in Ashland, Kentucky.
