MISSISSIPPI BRAVES BASEBALL MOVING TO WYAB
Press Release
(January 9, 2009) The Mississippi Braves are proud to announce that for the first time in team history every M-Braves game will be on the FM dial. The M-Braves have reached an agreement with WYAB 103.9 FM to broadcast all Mississippi Braves home and away games throughout the 2009, 2010 and 2011 seasons.

From east to west, the M-Braves new flagship radio station has coverage from Vicksburg to Morton and from Lexington to Crystal Springs, north to south. The station reaches over 450,000 listeners in the central Mississippi region.

WYAB co-owners and Atlanta natives Matthew Wesolowski and Mike Adkins have long followed the Braves and are excited to be able to fulfill their vision of programming a news/talk radio outlet with the Mississippi Braves as its centerpiece.

"As a child, I vividly remember going to Atlanta's Fulton County Stadium cheering on the likes of Dale Murphy, Phil Niekro and Bob Horner, all the while thinking of how I would have given anything to one day work with the Braves organization. Adding the Mississippi Braves to the WYAB lineup has instantly fulfilled a personal lifelong dream of mine," said Wesolowski.

The Mississippi Braves are honored to partner with Wesolowski, Adkins and WYAB. "We are very excited in becoming partners with WYAB. I am especially thrilled to be able to secure an FM station to give us a much clearer signal and much further reach. We have thousands of fans who like to follow us on a nightly basis, especially when the team is on the road, and this will give more fans the opportunity to keep up with the games, game results, statistics and news about the Mississippi Braves," stated Mississippi Braves General Manager Steve DeSalvo.

Back for his second full season behind the microphone will be the voice of the Mississippi Braves, Ben Ingram. After serving as the M-Braves color commentator during the 2007 season, Ingram called every M-Braves game during the 2008 Southern League Championship season.
