(January 6, 2009) One of the most recognizable voices in Seattle sports will be on the air again this spring. Bonneville Seattle announced on Tuesday that Kevin Calabro, will join the daily programming line-up for its new all-sports radio station, 710 ESPN Seattle.

Calabro spent 21 seasons as the radio and television announcer for the Seattle SuperSonics until the team moved to Oklahoma City.

At the announcement on Tuesday at Bonneville Seattle headquarters Calabro said the decision to stay on in Seattle was an easy one, "After 21 years working with the Sonics, being in Seattle, I really love the town, the sophistication of the town."

During his career, Calabro has also been a play-by-play contributor for TNT, TBS and ESPN Radio broadcasts of the NBA. During the summer of 2000, he was selected by The Westwood One Radio Network to be the voice of the United States Men's 2000 Olympic Basketball Team. He was named "Sportscaster of the Year" for the state of Washington in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association of America.

Calabro's show will run daily Monday through Friday. But the exact time the show will air has not yet been announced. Bonneville's Director of Marketing, Cathy Cangiano, said, "The process of building the programming line-up is underway and more announcements will be made as agreements and contracts are finalized."
