HONG JOINS TURNER SPORTS NEW MEDIA DIVISION

(May 14, 2008) Turner Sports has tapped Matthew Hong as vp/general manager, sports digital for the company's new-media division, effective May 19.
In his new role, Hong will be oversee business operations and editorial for Turner Sports' new-media portfolio, which includes NASCAR.com, PGATour.com and PGA.com, as well as the broadband channels TNT OverTime on NBA.com and TBS Hot Corner on MLB.com. Hong comes to Turner from the academic publisher Cengage Learning, where he served as vp and general manager of interactive media. Prior to Cengage, Hong spent seven years at America Online, serving in a variety of senior management positions. |
